Biography

Overview

A small-town kid living in the big city, I was born in the cornfields of Illinois then moved to Ohio and, finally, Texas. Fort Worth has been home for a couple of decades. My rural roots gave me a strong work ethic. But I love the energy and connectivity of the urban environment.

Hobbies and pastimes

My interests are wide and varied. I’m a huge sports fan—especially when it comes to the TCU Horned Frogs. I can also build furniture and tinker with computers. Music is important to me, too: I’ve been a season subscriber to the Fort Worth Symphony for several years.

Travel

Through travel, I’ve learned about culture, language and diversity. So far, I’ve been to more than 40 states and a dozen countries. My favorite cities are Chicago and Paris, and the best food I’ve ever had was in Beirut, Lebanon.
